Whether you work in a club now or are thinking about working in a club, your main concern should be your safety first.
How can you keep yourself as safe as possible while working at a strip club? Follow these main safety tips and you will be safer:
Pick a club that puts “YOUR” safety first. If the clubs in your areas do not promote safety of their staff first, you need to look further. Even if that means driving further for less money. A safe club is more important than putting your safety at risk. Nothing, including money, is worth risking your safety for! Choose a club that actually cares about their staff and has clear rules laid out to help keep you safe.
Business is not personal. Do not mix your personal life into your business. Never give out personal information about yourself to anyone. Do not divulge too much personal information in the dressing rooms either. Never tell customers personal information and never tell other girls personal information while around customers. The old saying “K.I.S.S.” (keep it simple stupid) holds true for you as well. Less is best! You are a business not an open diary. A few drinks and you might tell the whole club your life history. Be smart, not stupid! Less is always best!
Watch your back! Keep alert of your surroundings at all times. Without looking paranoid, you should always be aware of where hands are at all times. Do it in such a way that is elegant in your movements and your flirtatious eyes. Watch your drink as well. It only takes a second for someone to put something in your drink. If unsure, get a new drink. Use an excuse that you are thirsting to try another flavor.
Stay sober! Anything can happen to someone who is drunk. You are not invincible! If the club does not allow you to drink, then don’t! If the club allows you to drink, you don’t have to. Don’t do it! If you feel you must have a drink with a customer, ask the bar ahead of time to keep your drinks sober. If that’s not possible, sip your drink. Take the drink to the bathroom and dump most of it down the drain if you must. At all costs, stay sober!
Don’t be a fool! Stay off the drugs! What you do in your own time outside of work is your business. While you are working, you should be clean. Never take anything that will impair your judgment. You are NOT invincible! Never take any kind of drugs from customers. Use the club as an excuse. If cameras are on, use that as an excuse.
Stay within your comfort zone! Don’t do anything with a customer you don’t feel comfortable doing. No matter how desperate you are for money you should never sell yourself down to desperate enough to go far! Not only are you likely doing something illegal, you are also putting yourself into a lower bracket of NO class and less safe. You will not only regret it for that few extra dollars you may have made that night, but you will also find that you will start making less money later and expected to do more, more often. Let your conscious be your guide! Respect yourself and others will respect you more. Be classy! Class will make you more money in the long run!
Help keep the club legal! Report any customer who is offering anything illegal. Not only will you be responsible if you don’t, you might also lose your job. Not reporting customers puts other girls in danger and the clubs license in danger.
Promises will haunt you! Never promise a customer you will meet them outside the club for any reason. Even if they offer you money to take you out to dinner. Instead, flirt it up and tell them they are embarrassing you and then change the subject. This customer could tell management or could even be an under cover cop. If you keep yourself legal, you don’t have to worry. Money is not worth going to jail or risking your job…or worse, risking your safety over! Even if the customer is not a cop, they will hound you to pay up on that promise. Don’t take money for meeting outside the club and don’t make promises either!
Keep your head on straight! No matter what a customer promises you. The mansion on the hill next to the beach. Never having to work another day in your life. Jewels and cars. Keep your head on straight! People will try to lure you into anything for many reasons. Don’t be a fool! This is just a job! You are the actress and they are the audience! No matter what they say, keep your head on straight and don’t fall into traps! If something is too good to be true, it probably IS!
Keep your important belongings at home! Don’t bring expensive or personal items into the club. You wouldn’t want someone to get a hold of your cell phone and start calling your family and friends, would you? You wouldn’t want your grandmother’s ring stolen, would you? Keep your stuff safe and out of the club!
